At 9:00am this morning, the department was alerted of a reported bus fire at the intersection of River Rd. and Rambler Ave. First arriving units confirmed that it was a working bus fire. Engine 32 was ordered to establish a water supply from a nearby hydrant and stretch a line to the fire. Tower 31 arrived shortly therafter and was ordered to stretch a second line to the interior of the bus. River Edge Fire Department was requested for one engine to respond to the scene to assist with the fire. Car 3-0, 30-1, 30-2, Engine 32, and Tower 31 operated on scene for just over an hour. A Special thanks to former River Edge Chief David Stucke who assisted by hitting the hydrant for Engine 32.
