At approx 1pm, the River Edge Fire Department was dispatched to an oven fire on Summit Avenue. Shortly after arrival they determined that the fire had spread to the cabinets and wall behind the oven. A 2nd alarm was dispatched and NMFD Engine 32 and Tower Ladder 31 responded to the scene. Tower 31's crew operated as the FAST Team while Engine 32's crew stood-by and assisted with operations. The fire was extinguished and placed under control shortly after.
