ANNUAL PUMP TESTING

On Sunday August 1st NMFD in conjuction with the Tri-Boro Fire Mutual Aid Group conducted annual pumping testing on all department engines. What that means to the lay person is the fire trucks are rated by their manufacturers to be able to pump so many gallons of water a minute and to maintain that amount of water for so many hours at a rated pressure. We conduct this testing as required by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to ensure operational readiness of our apparatus.
